Izzy Tait is a powerhouse in every sense of the word. As a devoted mother to four incredible children, Izzy began her journey in strongwoman competitions to show her kids that no matter the situation or circumstances, they can achieve anything they set their minds to. Her path hasn't been easy; in 2015, Izzy suffered a severe brain injury that left her temporarily paralyzed on her right side and resulted in a permanent condition called brain separation syndrome, along with epilepsy. However, she refuses to let these challenges define her.

Since stepping into the strongwoman arena, Izzy has not only grown immensely in strength but also in mental resilience. She holds multiple records, including the current Scottish all-time deadlift record at an astounding 272.5kg, a record she has proudly maintained for three years. This lift was also the masters world record until recently. Additionally, Izzy holds the Scottish atlas stone record at 140kg and is the first female in history to lift many of the historic natural stones, competing at both national and international levels.

Despite a recent back injury where she damaged ligaments, Izzy's determination remains unshaken. She is back in the competition circuit, participating in prestigious events like the Fefor Power Week Luisa and Pro Stones of Strength competition in Norway. Earlier this year, before her injury, she triumphed in the amateur Arnold’s masters class.

Izzy's journey is not just about personal achievement; she is passionate about supporting others in the sport. She regularly helps out at competitions and loves seeing newcomers find their footing in the strongwoman community. Izzy Tait is a true testament to strength, resilience, and the unyielding spirit of a mother determined to inspire her children and the world.
